I was doing some pretty heavy research on tennis machines after I realized I no longer have a tennis partner to play with. I tried playing on racquetball courts, joining clubs and looking for players in my community to play with. It’s been hit and miss. The moral of the story is, I just really wanted to play tennis and didn’t have anyone to play with. While this machine doesn’t replace a player by any means, it’s the next best thing to play tennis for practice, drills, cardio, or anything else. It fills a majority of the void. The machine is really well built, and immediately comes off with good quality and craftsmanship. High quality and industrial plastic which helps maintain its lightness and also provides durability. This frame isn’t going to crack unless you put a heavy hammer to it (why would you do this?). The ball rotator is made of steel, which is really important because that means when the rotator moves and the balls are pushed around inside you don’t ever have to worry about that breaking. Taking a look inside the machine it’s very well crafted and high quality. This I can appreciate.Once you turn on the machine you immediately feel like you’re getting your moneys worth. While I’ve only turned on the machine a couple of times and used it only once, I had no problem connecting to the Bluetooth, or using the application or having the machine start up. It was seamless and easy and you can’t ask for more. The functionality is terrific. Once you press start on the application or the remote you get a high pitch noise indicator to let you know when the machine is ready to start spitting the balls, it gives you time to get to the other side of the court if you’re not already there. Once all the balls are fed, the machine actually stops which is terrific. And it will not start again until you refill it and press the start button. As long as you place the machine in the appropriate position, all the balls will feed within the singles line but if you up the speed and the balls will fall in the doubles line. I did, however, had some balls go out of balance when I put the speed really high but in order to balance this out you need to change the angles. Once you understand how to use the app and change all of the settings, this machine can go beast mode. I played for one hour straight and I had such a good time changing the back spin and the top spin the angles and the different setting. It helped my practice so much and much cheaper than a coach in the long run.The battery is also really good, I played for an hour and had more than half left. I give it about three hours of playtime depending on what settings you use and how frequently you want the balls to be tossedThe size of the machine is also perfect. It rolls very easily so I was able to put it in the backseat and take it right to my gym.It also comes with a handle that you can pull out like you’re bringing a suitcase with you. For you taller people, it might be a little difficult because the handle doesn’t go that high for obvious reasons (height of the handle can’t exceed the height of the product without losing durability) so you might have to bend down a little bit. You can also pick up the machine by the handle but it has some weight to it, 30 to 30 pounds so it can be a little awkward taking it up and downstairs. All in all, so far it’s well worth the purchase. You can play whenever you want, have a number of different settings, have it portable, good weight, and ease of useA couple of things to note before you purchase:If you get the black one, it is a dust magnet so if you purchase some new balls be prepared to have a bunch of fuzz inside and all around your machine. Purchase a blower to blow out the dust and the unwanted fuzz. You can clean the outside but you won’t be able to clean the inside.Another thing to note is the company in which you are purchasing this from. It is a Japanese company and it is not local, so customer support might be a little difficult. I received the warranty in Chinese so that kind of tells you somethingLastly, the final thing to note is that this machine really does rely on using the app or the remote. Purchasing this machine means you trust that the developers are going to maintain the machine as well as the app for many years to come. If the app is no good it takes away a big part of the machine. And if the remote breaks well, you can’t use the machine at all. There are virtually no buttons Besides the on and off toggle on the machine to have it work. So, no remote and bad application or no application means no tennis machine. Definitely something to think of. As of now the application is good and I haven’t had any issues, but it can definitely always use updating. We just hope that this company maintains their hardware and their software
