I’m an electrician and use laser levels primarily for installing 3 or more pot lights in a straight line. Out of the box, here’s the many positives I am pleased with already.- The case seems rugged, the green light it emits is just as bright as any premium brand I’ve used.- The remote will allow me to turn it off from a distance saving battery life while I install the lights and turn it back on without the need to touch it causing a chance to mess up the line.- A light touch of the built-in buttons is all that’s needed to make them work.- The magnetic holder is so secure, it may be able to hold a suitcase up ?- Several very fine adjustment knobs in many locations on the various stands make this the most versatile fine adjustment options I’ve ever come across so far and should make it much easier when I’m in the middle of a large room need to make the laser hit the marks with ~20’ on each side of me.For downsides:- Batteries have a little plug that goes directly into the battery and I can’t tell if it will stop charging when it’s full or if it will just keep pumping power into it eventually destroying the batteries. (For me, I will just put a timer on to make sure I can’t over-charge it. Not that big of a deal. I just hope they have a good life expectancy.If you want to use this laser for lining up something at an angle, you can long-press the built in power button until it beeps which will allow it to work at an angle without flashing and beeping but the odd thing is that there’s no way to lock the gimbal while at an angle so I hope it doesn’t get jarred while at an angle as it may be easier for it to move the line without the lock (maybe).In conclusion, my first impression out of the box is I’ve received good value for the money. I’ll be running it a the jobsite soon so if you are reading this a very long time after I’ve posted this, you can be assured if I haven’t posted a follow up, it is working as intended and I’m happy with it.
